Gas Leak Contained - PG&E is working on restorationOn Tuesday morning, 9/19/2023, a gas leak occurred in a gas dig-in, impacting a 3" gas main near Yale Ave and Cambridge Ave. The gas release did not go underground, and PG&E was able to contain the hazard at 11:39 a.m. Repairs are underway on the gas main. 13 customers were impacted and are currently experiencing an outage. PG&E is working on full restoration, estimated for later in the afternoon…
Paper Shredding & Pharmaceutical Collection EventThe Kensington Fire Protection District will hold a paper shredding event on Saturday, October 28th, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. This free event is for Kensington residents to learn more about making their homes and communities safer. Emergency Water Storage and Fire Extinguishers Supply SaleWhen an earthquake hits, one of the most important things to have on hand is drinking water. EBMUD expects to have most residential services restored within a month of a major quake. To be prepared for that month, 1 gallon of potable water and 1 gallon of sanitation water per person per day is recommended.
