Helmut Blaschczyk
Helmut Blaschczyk has been a resident of Kensington since 1973 and became the Board's newest member in 2007. Helmut retired from the Office of the President of the University of California in 2006, where he was Director of Resource Administration in the Office of the Vice President for Budget. He has a B.S. in Business Administration (Accounting) from Sacramento State University (1962) and an M.A. in Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles (1968).

Don Dommer
Don Dommer is a 20-year resident of Kensington and has served on the Board of Directors of the Kensington Fire Protection District since 1996. Don is a graduate of the University of Minnesota and holds Bachelor and Masters degrees in Architecture. He has practiced architecture throughout the United States and is the head of Don Dommer Associates, Architecture and Planning.

Janice Kosel
Janice Kosel is a lifelong resident of Kensington. She has served on the Board of Directors of the Kensington Fire Protection District since 1994. Janice is a graduate of UC Berkeley (1968) and Boalt Hall School of Law (1971). She is a law professor at Golden Gate University in San Francisco.

Leslie William Michael
Leslie Michael grew up in nearby Berkeley and is a 17-year resident of Kensington. Les received a B.A. from UC Berkeley, a M.S. from Fresno State and a Ph.D. from the University of Cincinnati. Les served as associate professor of Environmental Health at the University of Cincinnati until 1977 when he joined Federal OSHA as an industrial hygienist and supervisor in Chicago. He later served as Area Director in Cleveland and Long Beach. Les joined the California Division of OSHA at San Francisco in 1989 as senior industrial hygieniest. Les has served on the Board of Directors of the Kensington Fire Protection District since 2003.

Nina Ramsey
Nina Ramsey has lived in Kensington for nearly 30 years. Her daughters Ann and Catherine were born and raised in Kensington, attending Hilltop Elementary School. Nina is committed to local government and community involvement. She has served on the Board of Directors of the Kensington Fire Protection District since 2000. Nina says, "I knew I had come home the first day I moved here. I appreciate my Kensington neighbors who know each other and work together to ensure a safe and healthy community." Nina is an administrator and manager for a large east bay probation department.
