Kensington Public Safety Council Program - Wildland Urban Interface Fire Presentation

The Napa/Santa Rosa fires, along with the Coffee Park and Paradise disasters, have brought a new dimension to Wildland Urban Interface Fire.

On Saturday, March 30th at the Kensington Community Center, 59 Arlington Ave. from 10 a.m. to 12 noon the Kensington Public Safety Council (KPSC), will be hosting a presentation with Fire Marshal Dave Gibson.

Fire Marshal Gibson will be discussing the recent wildland/urban interface fires.  He will also be reviewing our fire history and educating us on Cal Fire's, "Ready, Set, Go" program.

As an integral part of our fire prevention and safety he will review Kensington/El Cerrito Vegetation Management Standards and tips on how better to prepare your home against fire.

We will have a laptop available for those who would like to sign up for the Contra Costa County Warning System. This service of the Contra Costa Sheriff's Office will provide warnings to your landline and mobile phones.
